Organization Center on Combating Hybrid Threats (CCHT)The Center on Combating Hybrid Threats (CCHT) coordinates and conducts interdisciplinary research, education programs, and outreach in order to enhance the Naval Postgraduate School students and partners with the strategic, operational, and technological means necessary to detect, deny, disrupt, degrade, defeat and ultimately deter hybrid threats.Organization Undersea Warfare Academic Group (USWAG)The NPS Undersea Warfare curriculum offers students the opportunity to study the fundamental principles that apply to the design, performance, and employment of sensors, unmanned vehicles, and tactics in the undersea environment. The program combines electrical and mechanical engineering, mathematics, oceanography, physics, and operations research into a multi-disciplinary program of study. This unique curriculum permits students to select a degree program based on personal interests and undergraduate education, providing more in-depth study in a specific area.Organization Antisubmarine Warfare Academic Group (ASWAG)The Antisubmarine Warfare Academic Group (ASWAG) was the first academic group at NPS. ASWAG was predated by the Antisubmarine Warfare Academic Committee, formed in 1972. This academic group evolved into the Undersea Warfare Academic Group (USWAG) in 1993.Organization Aeronautics and AstronauticsThe Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics provides advanced education in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering to develop technical subspecialists in the field. Upper division undergraduate and graduate courses are offered in aerodynamics, structures, guidance and control, flight mechanics, propulsion and design, with applications to rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft, missiles and spacecraft.
