Organization Thesis Processing OfficeThe Thesis Processing Office is the central collection point and publisher for NPS theses, dissertations, capstones and MBA professional reports (hereafter referred to as “theses”).Organization Organization Engineering Acoustics Academic Committee (EAAC)The academic character of the programs in Engineering Acoustics is interdisciplinary, with courses and laboratory work drawn principally from the fields of physics and electrical engineering. Although broadly based, the emphasis of the programs is on those aspects of acoustics and signal processing applied to undersea warfare. Subjects covered include the generation, propagation and reception of sound in the ocean; military applications of underwater sound; and acoustic signal processing. These programs are designed specifically for students in the Applied Physics of Combat Systems, Undersea Warfare, and Underwater Acoustic Systems curricula, government employees in acoustics-related laboratories and systems commands, and international students.Organization Global ECCO (Education Community Collaboration Online)Global ECCO's (Education Community Collaboration Online) mission is to build and strengthen the Regional Defense Fellowship Program's (RDFP) global alumni network of Irregular Warfare (IW) and Regional Defense (RD) experts through innovative and engaging technologies and techniques that both enable and encourage collaborative partnership between individuals, nations, organizations, and cultures.Organization National Security Affairs (CHDS)The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s National Preparedness Directorate, FEMA and the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS) have pioneered graduate education programs for homeland security. Since 2003, CHDS has built a cadre of graduate education programs and resources used by universities and agencies across the country. The Master of Arts (M.A.) degree program is offered at no cost to eligible local, state, tribal, territorial, and federal officials.
