Abstract
Information systems are an integral part of the United States Navy. The effectiveness of the Navy's administrative logistic information systems is dependent on the Navy's ability to acquire. develop and maintain them. This thesis will review current acquisition strategy guidelines. policies and the resulting acquisition strategy plans for major Navy administrative logistic information systems. An attempt will be made to determine changes which can be made to improve the system and enable the Navy to keep pace with technology advances.
