Abstract
The research presented herein, analyzes two models of a jetvane Thrust Vector Control (TVC) System. Computational modeling was accomplished using the latest version of the PHOENICS computer code, designated PHOENICS-84. The vane configurations studied, consisted of a simple wedge and a blunt bodied vane, with a leading edge radius of 1.016 mm (1/25 in.) These models were examined in a two dimensional, sonic and subsonic, cold flow field, for both laminar and turbulent flow cases. Results consist of a numerical solution and a graphical representation of surface shear stress coefficient, Stanton number and convective heat transfer coefficient.
