Abstract
In presenting the Conclusions and Summary, it was sought to satisfy the initial object of this paper in presenting indications as to the uses which can be made of catalytic combustion in heat production. The tests provided information on two possible catalyst fuel systems: methanol platinum and propane platinum. The first system is highly active catalytically, and the second much less so. The tests were run to determine effect of catalyst form, flow rate, and fuel to air ratio on catalytic combustion rates. No design of components for actual use nor analysis of combustion was attempted. The data secured was mostly of a qualitative nature to determine the general relation of the variables, mentioned above, on catalytic combustion.
