Abstract
The feasibility of developing an expert system to support the scheduling of discrepancies in Maintenance Control is examined. A general review of expert systems and NALCOMIS is presented. An in-depth analysis is based on the interviews with several experts. The ability of NALCOMIS to support an expert system and discussion on whether such a system is warranted for this problem domain conclude the thesis
