Abstract
This work examines a data base inquiry system called Query 3. A demonstration version of this experimental system is available on the Advanced Research Projects Agency Network (ARPANET) at Computer Host 116. This research contains a description of the system, and basic and advanced tutorial user's guides. System description covers the various aspects of Query 3 including its online system (NLS) base, ARPANET operations, human interface capabilities, system operation, and data structure. The basic tutorial is a step-by-step introduction to rudimentary knowledge of Query 3 utilization. The advanced tutorial presents data base maintenance commands, alteration of human interface, and graphics features. Currently little centrally located or on-line documentation exists to assist individuals in gaining familiarity with Query 3. This work is intended to fill this documentation gap. It is hoped that it will prove useful to students and other individuals interested in becoming familiar with Query 3 as an area of command and control research.
