Abstract
The INTEL 432/670 microcomputer system contains the 1APX-432 microprocessor which executes compiled ADA programs. The compiler resides on a host VAX 11/780, and compiled Droarams are downloaded to an INTEL MDS 800 system where they are transferred to the 432/670 lor execution. This thesis describes a preliminary performance evaluation of the INTEL 432/670 through the use of selected benchmark algorithms from the Comcuter Family Architecture (CFA) study. A description of the hardware components of both the MDS 800 and 432/670 is orovided, Including the modifications made to the operating system to allow compatibility with existing hardware. Additionally, the benchmark program source code and a user's manual are appended.
