Abstract
This document addresses Headquarters Defense Logistics Agency' s (DLA) concepts established to enhance the readiness and sustainability for the Military Services. Information concerning Defense Logistics Agency' s Weapon Systems Support Program (WSSP) from October, 1981 to October, 1985 is provided. The aggressive weapon system oriented inventory management concept directed by the Secretary of Defense and under going implementation by DLA is discussed. The procedures that DLA will use to accomplish the Secretary of Defense enhanced weapon system support concept are spelled out and an assessment of the benefits to be obtained from the enhanced concept is made.
