Abstract
A method is developed to analyze and compare the effectiveness of ASW vehicles. The measure of effectiveness is the probability that the vehicle, after detecting a submarine a submarine with passive sensors, can transit to the contact area and re-establish contact with the submarine. A computer simulation is developed and an example using three hypothetical ASW vehicles is illustrated.
