Abstract
The purpose of this thesis was to complete a script, promoting a Management by Objectives system, that would serve as a basis for a 16 mm film. A smooth video tape was produced from the script designed to influence one' s attitude (positively) about MBO, and to inform audiences on MBO practices in a military setting. A copy of this smooth videotape is on file at the Naval Postgraduate School. Using questionnaires, the influence of video tape on the attitudes and knowledge of four different groups was measured. The results of this measurement of audience reaction indicates that the script is effective in informing and influencing attitudes of Naval Officers in the use of Management by Objectives.
