Abstract
The enclosed Lecture Notes by Daniel H. Wagner, entitled "Naval Tactical Decision Aids," is the first publication in a new series of Lecture Notes to be published by the Department of Operations Research at the Naval Postgraduate School. It is intended for use as an instructional text at the NPS and should be of interest to other Naval activities, particularly those involved with tactical development. To make this text more usable for instruction, the author plans to prepare and distribute exercises to be added at the end of each of Chapters II through V. The author also hopes to augment and update the material in this text as a second edition, perhaps in 1991.
