The Wayne P. Hughes Jr. Naval Warfare Studies Institute (NWSI) is officially chartered during a small ceremony in NPS' Dudley Knox Library with select university and institute leadership on hand.
Held Dec. 11, 2020, just over a year from the legendary strategist's passing, NWSI hopes to honor Hughes' inquisitive spirit and strategic prowess by empowering the university's robust faculty expertise in seapower studies and naval strategy, acting as a cross-campus connector for research efforts in direct response to fleet and force needs.
