Abstract
The following note describes the results of an exploratory data analysis of the daily maximum level of oxidant recorded hourly at the Livermore station of the Bay Area Pollution Control District for the dates 6/2-8/31 1974 and 6/1-8/30 1975. The analysis uses simple robust techniques suggested by J. Tukey and others. An apparently linear relationship between daily maximum level in Livermore and daily maximum temperature is found.
