Abstract
The purpose of this MBA Project was to investigate and provide a comprehensive overview of the history of simplified acquisitions, to build a model for theoretical potential of use, and then to compare what is currently being done at major contracting offices within the Marine Corps to see if the legislation is being used to the fullest extent. This comparison is to ensure that the Marine Corps is maximizing effectiveness and efficiency as allowed by introduced legislation as manpower was reduced after the Cold War, and to be able to do more with less.
