Abstract
The Naval Postgraduate School will be conducting two Joint-Interagency Field Experiments in 2012. These events are designed to explore the potential of collaborative learning environments to enhance the performance of end users in both the tactical and crisis response settings. These events will focus on exploring the potential of new capabilities that address challenges faced by the United States’ Combatant Commanders (AFRICOM, CENTCOM, EUCOM, NORTHCOM, PACOM, SOUTHCOM) and the federal entities that support (or are supported by) the COCOMs. The Department of Homeland Security is the other primary federal agency involved in these events. These two events are modeled on the successful US Special Operations Command’s TNT/CBE events and are being conducted to determine the utility of the SOCOM model for the conventional forces community.
