Abstract
A magnetic mass spectrometer employing a 45 degrees bending angle was constructed and calibrated as part of an experimental apparatus to study ion-molecule rearrangement collisions. It has a resolution (m/Am) of about 40 with beam transmission in excess of 90%, and it will mass analyze charged particles up to mass number 40 with energies up to 1 KEV.
