Abstract
This study examines the possibility of the existence of a Second Chasm in the DoD's Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Unique Identification (UID) adoption. The study focuses on the DoD's small business partner's willingness to conform to the RFID-UID mandates and their reasons why. The compliance information was collected through anonymous surveys of DoD small business suppliers. The study then discusses the results of the survey and the relevance of the data to the DoD, and concludes with our findings and recommendations for alternate implementation plans for the mandates.
