Description
The purpose of this book is to bring together the many aspects of robot calibration from the arenas of industrial application and academic research, and present a structured overview of the topic that can be of use to engineers in both groups. In attempting to address the interests of both groups, it is hoped that a sound theoretical background is developed for what is, in essence, a very practical problem facing those involced in the implementation of advanced automation. Before outlining individual chapters in this book, it is worth reviewing the short history of robot calibration so that future developments may be observed in this context.
