Abstract
Existing data links (e.g., Link 16, CEC, IP based links, etc.) are capable of sharing track data manually via an operator. Once the track data is moved off of its original link it may lose most of its properties. Thus, such a track will be stripped of the required fidelity for employment. Thus, data may not be able to be transferred in a complete form among varying data links. Through analysis of current and potential data link systems, we will be able to posit how such data may be able to be transferred without losing its properties. We expect to find by completing a thorough analysis of the transfer of data between various links we will be able to proffer recommendations on how this transfer may be able to be successfully accomplished. Such a finding would allow operating forces to pass data among various stovepipe data link systems without a loss of data properties. Once this research is accomplished, specific improvements to various data links may be examined.
