Abstract
The Conference provided an excellent forum for the expression of views held individually or as representatives of sponsoring and monitoring agencies. It became apparent in the early sessions that
the technical postgraduate program would occupy the primary attention of the conferees. Since the stakes in this program are so large and the effects so far reaching, it was considered highly desirable that the maximum time be devoted to the development of constructive recommendations. The specific results of the deliberations conducted in working groups and the plenary session are summarized in Section II of the report. A summary of the more significant views developed in the Conference is presented in paragraphs 3 and 4.
