Abstract
This atlas of the 700 mb circulation field contains northern winter monthly and seasonal mean wind analyses, velocity potential and stream-function from 40° S to 60° N over a global belt for the period 1974 through 1983. In addition, the deviations of the individual annual seasonal and monthly means from their respective nine-year means are resented for the same variables. The basic wind data used are the operational Global Band Analyses of the United States Navy's Fleet Numerical Oceanography Center.
