Abstract
The Mechanical and Astronautical Engineering Department has missile track
options within our standard Master’s degree program. One track is for tactical
missiles and the other is for strategic (U.S. Only) missiles. Each track provides
a series of courses over the span of one year which cover critical technology
areas related to tactical and ballistic missile design and operation. The course
content is supplemented with the participation of system integrators, such as
Raytheon Missile Systems which bring a real-world view to the tactical missile
design course and improves the value and applicability of the material covered.
Faculty members also often introduce material from ongoing research activities
in their respective specialty areas to expose students to current problems
associated with modern missile systems.
