The resonances in the capture of protons by natural silicon were investigated over the range of proton energies from 0.19 to 2.0 Mev. A study of the range from 1.57 to 1.8 Mev revealed prominent resonances at 1.616 and 1.648 Mev with lesser resonances at 1.702, 1.725, 1.774, and 1.818 Mev. Possible resonances were observed in this range at proton energies of 1.582, 1.596, 1.608, 1.633, 1.658, 1.747, and 1.795 Mev. The particular isotope of silicon causing each resonance was not established.
