Abstract
The research and analysis in the structural optimization of Panel Line Modules detailed in this report has been undertaken by the Naval Postgraduate School in cooperation with the Northrop Grumman (Shipbuilding) Corporation. The focus of this research is to develop an optimization process for implementation and validation of engineering design choices in conjunction with the use of panel line module structures. The work contained herein will demonstrate the procedure, analysis and resulting design options using the design of experiments approach.
