Abstract
The LINAC at NPGS, Monterey was used to accelerate electrons to energies ranging from SO - 100 MeV. These were used to study
energy losses of high energy electrons in aluminum and copper. The densities of each material ranged from 0.7 to 2.8 gm/cm2 .
The results agreed with the theory of Blunck and Westphal, unlike previous measurements made by Breuer who found disagreement
between his experimental results and his interpretation of the theory of Blunck and Westphal, particularly at energies above SO MeV and with aluminum of thickness greater than that yielding a density of 1 gm/cm2.
