Abstract
The need for high returns on investments becomes increasingly necessary in the current environment of shrinking defense budgets. The Naval Postgraduate School’s Petite Amateur Navy Satellite (PANSAT) endeavors to demonstrate the application of technology for digital communication while also fulfilling the long-term needs of space education for military officers. PANSAT will provide, once in orbit, store-and-forward communication using direct sequence spread spectrum modulation. This paper presents a project summary of PANSAT.
