dc.description.abstractA job scheduling simulation model was produced for the purpose of developing an effective Initiator usage policy. While the first part of the study gives a detailed overview of the structure of the OS/MVT Job Management routines the parts thereafter are devoted to describing the simulation model and to an analysis of Naval Postgraduate School Computer Center operational data. A user's manual, a demonstration run with results, and a program listing of the simulation model are included.en_US
