Abstract
A flight test investigation was undertaken at the James Forrestal Research Center, Princeton University, in the spring of 1961 to investigate parameters affecting pilot opinion of airplane lateral-directional flying qualities. In particular, it was desired to study the ratio of the rolling velocity oscillatory envelope amplitude to the "steady state" rolling velocity with an aileron step input imposed upon the system.
