Abstract
There have been many systems developed for computer processing of natural languages such as English. One of these, known as NLP, is being developed at the Naval Postgraduate School. Another system, based on Conceptual Dependency theory, is being developed at Stanford University. The two systems, while having somewhat similar goals, use different internal representations of information. The purpose of this thesis was to devise a means for representing the structures of Conceptual Dependency theory in NLP, and to develop methods for conversion of information between NLP's existing representation and that of Conceptual Dependency theory.
