Abstract
This thesis is concerned with the problem of constructing an optimal minefield for inflicting causalities to a naval force attempting to penetrate the field. A microcomputer based simulation program dealing with this problem is presented and permits the user to select various mine characteristics (charge weight, depth, sensitivity), number of mines, number of transitting ships and navigational error.
