Abstract
A two-level graphical-numerical prediction model is extended so as to incorporate some orographical and non-adiabatic warming or cooling effects in a manner such that almost no extra work is added. The model is applied to several cases where non-adiabatic heat exchanges are pronounced. The resulting prognoses show a material improvement over a similar model which omits the non-adiabatic influence.
