dc.description.abstractThis investigation was done in cooperation with Mr. Louis A. Ule, a member of the Theoretical Analysis Group in the Engineering Department of Gilfillan Brothers, Incorporated. Its purpose was to round out the least squares smoothing and prediction theory embodied in Mr. Ule's intra-coapany memorandum of January 12, 1974, entitled, "Polynonial Filters."
