Abstract
The XR-3 Loads and Motions Program, a digital computer simulation of the six degrees-of- freedom equations of motion for the XR-3 captive air iDubble test craft, is subjected to a wide range of regular and irregular wave excitations. The operating characteristics of the simulated craft and the frequency response functions for the heave, pitch, and roll responses in ahead, abeam, and following seas are obtained for regular wave excitations. The ahead seas frequency response functions are verified with irregular wave excitation.
