dc.description.abstractFinite-amplitude standing waves in air at ambient conditions contained in a rigid-walled cylindrical tube with a large length-to-diameter ratio were experimentally investigated. The pressure waveform at the end of the tube was digitized and Fourier analyzed on an IBM 360 digital computer.en_US
