Abstract
The intent of this thesis is to provide those interested with a compendium of the quintessential elements of the Sino-Soviet territorial conflict from its origin through March of 1975. An attempt has been made to use the most up-to-date and authoritative source materials available with the majority of the citations dated since 1974. The conflict is examined in depth and its expected future course is projected as are its strategic implications for American national security planners and naval strategists.
