This issue of The NPS Maritime Domain Protection Newsletter highlights research by the Distributed Information Systems Experimentatio (DISE) Group at the Naval Postgraduate School; research on Cross-Domain Safety across organizations in the areas of Maritime Domain Awareness and Inforamtion Assurance; and information on the RAPIER (Rapid Image Exploitation Resource) Ship Detection System, an automated tool which can process both national and satellite imagery to quickly and automatically find and report ships in port, littoral, and open ocean scenes.
