Abstract
S oftware prototypes are executable initial versions
of software systems. Designers use
prototypes to clarify requirements by demonstrating
selected aspects of proposed system behavior
to customers. To be useful in negotiations leading
to software development projects, prototypes must be
constructed and adapted to rapidly changing requirements.
