Abstract
This Project outlines Lean Six Sigma principles, provides examples of Lean Six Sigma events, and analyzes principles that can be applied to Navy acquisition and contracting. The objective of this project is to: (1) provide an overview of Lean Six Sigma principles in contracting and acquisition; (2) identify Navy contracting processes that have and can be analyzed using Lean Six Sigma principles; (3) explore how Lean Six Sigma can be applied to interpret and implement regulations and instructions affecting the pre-award procurement process. The expected outcome of this project is an analysis of the applicability of using Lean Six Sigma processes to streamline the pre-award procurement process using Lean Six Sigma principles.
