| dc.description.abstract | The Human Resource Management (HRM) Survey is routinely administered to units of the U.S. Navy in order to collect demographic and attitudinal data. The focus of the attitudinal questions is on relatively abstract organizational and interpersonal characteristics. The primary employment of the survey results is in stimulating discussions amongst respondents at the unit or work group level leading to the recognition of problem areas and commitment to corrective action plans. The HRM Survey has the potential to collect and process data which could provide statistically significant inputs to decisions on specific policy and resource allocation decisions at all levels of the naval service. The recommendations contained in this thesis are intended to assist in the realization of that potential. | en_US |
