| dc.description.abstract | This study was conducted to determine the marginal cost of training Category I and II Naval Flight Officers. Marginal costs are those costs incurred by training one additional or one less Naval Flight Officer and include under- graduate flight training, permanent change of station, and graduate flight training costs. Category I marginal costs range from $51,244.30 for a P-3 Naval Flight Officer to $309,833.36 for an A-6 Naval Flight Officer. Category II marginal costs range from $24,950.02 for a P-3 Naval Flight Officer to $155,782.71 for an A-6 Naval Flight Officer. An additional study of incremental costs will be required to fully evaluate the financial impact of a large change in the Naval Flight Officer training rate. | en_US |
