Abstract
The performance of systems utilizing electromagnetic radiation to transmit and gather information is critical to numerous applications in the modern world. With advances in signal processing, the ability to produce tailored interference is possible. In this thesis, the effects of linear frequency modulated waveform-shaped interference are evaluated. Performance is evaluated utilizing MATLAB simulation implementing coherent and noncoherent detection while varying the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and jammer-to-noise-ratio (JNR). Additionally, the effects of varying signal bandwidth are also examined. Results demonstrated increased receiver degradation as compared to traditional additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN).
