The interaction of three jets is studied both theoretically and experimentally o The angle of deflection and the velocity and turbulence distributions were determined through the use of a hot-wire anemometer. The free -streamline theory has been applied to the determination of the jet deflection and the results so obtained were found to be in good agreement with those obtained experimentally „ The study is a convincing evidence of the fact that a proper combination of inviscid flow analysis together with experimental results can provide the necessary guidance for the design of proportional amplifiers.
