Abstract
Design of a system to meet a demand or need is a function which must be addressed in its entirety. The total system must be examined and the interplay of the design variables and system parameters must be intimate- ly considered. This systems approach is not the usual case today. The system approach is often attempted after the system is ready for delivery or for redesign.
