This report discusses the design and development of a six degree of freedom fixed base simulation of the SH2P helicopter using a hybrid computer interfacing with a computer graphics terminal. The purpose of the simulation was to investigate a scheme for alleviating a helicopter pilot's scan workload during transition to and from hover during instrument flying conditions.
