Abstract
Adaptive techniques are investigated for tracking
maneuvering targets from noisy measurements of position
coordinates. Two types of adaptive estimators are
considered, a Q-generated estimator and a Residual-testing
estimator . Monte-Carlo simulation is used to compare the
performance of these adaptive estimators to that obtained by
using several constant-Q filters.
