dc.description.abstract | The Navy Personnel Command assigns over 100,000 Sailors annually utilizing in excess of 200 Detailers. This process is typically done manually between Sailor and Detailer. Navy Personnel Research Studies and Technology (NPRST), together with NPS, have begun a series of studies to optimize this process through the use of an Agent-Based Employment Market System. To assist in the validation of the Agent-Based System, this thesis seeks to design a simulation program as a demonstration of the possibilities and potential advantages of an Agent-Based Electronic Employment Market. Research includes conducting a review of the current personnel detailing process in the Navy, coding a simulation program, and running various detailing scenarios. The simulation results indicated there are potential advantages of an Agent-Based Employment Market System to detailing in the Navy. | en_US |
