dc.description.abstractFundamental SFRJ fuel properties were determined using a DTA and a gas chromatograph for both high and low heating rates. The performance of these fuels was then measured under various operating conditions and test geometries. Fuel properties were found to have some effect on the obtainable combustion efficiency but much larger effects could be induced by the flow conditions (induced mixing near the fuel surface, bypass air, etc.).
