Abstract
Results are presented showing the development of regression
equations to help determine human and/or aircraft variables which
appear to account for the variability in monthly major aircraft accident rates.

Altimeter Measurements of the Volume Transport Through the Drake Passage
Challenor, P.G.; Tokmakian, R.T. (1999);From in situ measurements it has been inferred that the variability of flow through the Drake Passage down to 250&n does not depend upon depth (barotropic flow). By making this assumption it is possible to calculate the ... -
Horizontal anisotropy and seasonal variation of acoustic fluctuations observed during the 2010–2011 Philippine Sea experiment
Marwoto, Bambang (Monterey, California. Naval Postgraduate School, 2015-12);The anisotropic ocean environment will lead to variability of ocean acoustic travel time. The variability of travel times comes from several ocean dynamical processes, including eddies, internal tides, and stochastic ... -
Effect of inter- and intra-annual thermohaline variability on acoustic propagation
Chu, Peter C.; McDonald, Colleen M.; Kucukosmanoglu, Murat; Judono, Albert; Margolina, Tetyana; Fan, Chenwu (2017);This paper is to answer the question “How can inter- and intra-annual variability in the ocean be leveraged by the submarine Force?” through quantifying inter- and intra-annual variability in (T, S) fields and in turn ...
