dc.description.abstractThe report presents a brief summary of the past progress, current status and development trends of transonic aerodynamics. The main methods to compute steady and unsteady transonic flows are reviewed. Also, recent advances in transonic buffet prediction and transonic airfoil design are summarized and attention is drawn to problems requiring further intensive research efforts. (Author)en_US
