Polar duals of convex bodies
Abstract
A generalization and the dual version of the following result due to Firey is given: The mixed area of a plane convex body and its polar dual is at least Pi. We give a sharp upper bound for the product of the dual cross- sectional measure of any index and that of its polar dual. A general result for a convex body Kappa and a convex increasing real valued function gives inequalities for sets of constant width and sets with equichordal points as special cases. Keywords: Polar duals; Convex bodies. (JHD)

Convex optimization for proximity maneuvering of a spacecraft with a robotic manipulator
Virgili-Llop, Josep; Costantinos Zagaris; Zappulla, Richard II; Bradstreet, Andrew; Romano, Marcello (2017-02);This paper presents a convex optimization-based guidance algorithm for maneuvering a spacecraft equipped with a robotic manipulator. A local solution to the original optimization problem is found by solving a collection ... -
A convex programming based guidance algorithm to capture a tumbling object on orbit using a spacecraft equipped with a robotic manipulator
Virgili-Llop, Josep; Costantinos Zagaris; Zappulla, Richard II; Bradstreet, Andrew; Romano, Marcello (2018);An algorithm to guide the capture of a tumbling resident space object by a spacecraft equipped with a robotic manipulator is presented. A solution to the guidance problem is found by solving a collection of convex programming ... -
